Buying Seeds & Seedlings From Tomato Love
I want you to be happy with what you receive from Tomato Love.
If something isn't right with your order, please get in touch. You'll find the answers to the most common questions about returns, refunds and seed germination below.
Can I return seeds if I change my mind?
Because seeds are a living product and I can't control how they are stored once they leave Tomato Love, I don't accept returns or exchanges simply because you've changed your mind.
If there is a genuine problem with your order, though, please get in touch.
What if my order is damaged or incorrect?
If your order arrives damaged, I've sent you the wrong seeds, or something is missing, please contact me as soon as possible.
Mistakes happen. If I've made one, I'll put it right.
What if there is a problem with my tomato seedlings?
Tomato seedlings are living, perishable plants. I carefully select, secure and pack them in fully enclosed boxes for overnight courier delivery.
Please unpack your seedlings as soon as they arrive. If there is a genuine problem with their condition on arrival, contact me promptly and include clear photos of the seedlings and packaging so I can see what has happened.
Live plants are not covered by NZ Post's standard compensation for loss or damage in the same way as ordinary goods, so couriering seedlings does carry some risk.
Once seedlings have arrived in good condition, I cannot take responsibility for problems caused by growing conditions, watering, weather, pests, disease or transplanting.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Can I cancel or change my seedling pre-order?
If you need to change your seedling order, please contact me before it is packed for dispatch and I'll do my best to help.
Once live seedlings have been packed or dispatched, I don't accept change-of-mind returns.
How do I contact Tomato Love about a problem?
Please use the Contact page on this website and include your name, order details and a short description of the problem.
